INGREDIENTS

Serving for 4 to 6 people

  • 200 gr of rice
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 100 gr of sugar
  • 2 pieces of cinnamon
  • The peel of a lemon

To decorate: cinnamon powder or 4-5 teaspoons of brown sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. First we flavor the milk. Place the milk in a pot, add the sugar, 2 pieces of cinnamon and the lemon peel. Cook it over medium heat until it boils.
  2. Wash the rice with running water, so that it releases all the starch.
  3. Add the rice to the milk, and keep cooking over low heat for 45 to 50 minutes. Make sure you are constantly stirring it. It needs to have a little water at the end, because once we remove it from the fire the rice dries out.
  4. Now remove the cinnamon and the lemon peels and let it rest for 5 minutes.
