INGREDIENTS
Serving for 4 to 6 people
- 200 gr of rice
- 1 liter of milk
- 100 gr of sugar
- 2 pieces of cinnamon
- The peel of a lemon
To decorate: cinnamon powder or 4-5 teaspoons of brown sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
- First we flavor the milk. Place the milk in a pot, add the sugar, 2 pieces of cinnamon and the lemon peel. Cook it over medium heat until it boils.
- Wash the rice with running water, so that it releases all the starch.
- Add the rice to the milk, and keep cooking over low heat for 45 to 50 minutes. Make sure you are constantly stirring it. It needs to have a little water at the end, because once we remove it from the fire the rice dries out.
- Now remove the cinnamon and the lemon peels and let it rest for 5 minutes.
